Atlantis was an island in the Atlantic Ocean. The king was Poseidon. He was the Greek god of the sea. He had ten sons. Poseidon and his sons lived in a beautiful temple on the island. The island was full of different animals and different types of food. For many years the people lived simple lives and were very happy. Then they wanted to be rich.They were greedy. Zeus, the king of the gods, was angry. He made a wave. The island disappeared under the sea.
